Committed at the Local Level
Mustang® Cat has demonstrated its commitment to civic and social responsibility for more than 60 years. As our business has evolved and the needs of the communities we serve have changed over the years, our basic commitment to community prosperity continues.
At Mustang Cat, we believe in giving back to local communities through monetary, in-kind service and product donations. Our company and employees have contributed thousands of volunteer hours to improve the communities where we live and work. Investment in our communities is just one of the many ways Mustang Cat demonstrates our commitment to being a good corporate citizen. Below are a few of the organizations Mustang Cat is proud to partner with.
Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo
Mustang Cat and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ have enjoyed an extensive partnership for nearly 40 years. Mustang Cat is the official provider of heavy construction equipment offering a variety of equipment including articulated haul trucks, compactors, dozers, excavators, motor graders, skid steer loaders, wheel loadersand generators.
In addition to donating equipment, Mustang Cat is a proud supporter of the scholarship program. In 2012, President Brad Tucker established the Frank L. Tucker Scholarship fund, in honor of his father, to reward students who excel in academics.
Mustang Cat has teamed up with the Houston Texans to sponsor a Special Teams for Special Needs program to help individuals struggling with mental and physical challenges. This program will begin with the 2014-2015 pre- and regular season Houston Texans home games.
Each time the special teams of the Houston Texans scores a touchdown, field goal or an extra point, Mustang Cat will make a charitable contribution to the Brookwood Community. Brookwood, located 40 miles west of downtown Houston, is a nonprofit residential facility and vocational program for functionally disabled adults.
Texas Children’s Hospital
Each year, Mustang Cat sponsors a team for Texas Children’s Hospital Bad Pants tournament which benefits Texas Children’s Newborn Center that houses their neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). The golf tournament encourages bad fashion for a good cause. The tournament raises funds for life-saving programs and services for Texas Children's Newborn Center's littlest patients who are in need of medical treatment.
